Mutual of Omaha Partners With Senior Market Sales to Launch Single-Sign-On Technology

Mutual of Omaha has teamed with Senior Market Sales, Inc. to offer insurance agents selling Medicare Supplement plans a pioneering single-sign-on technology that simplifies the price quoting and application process into one transaction, saving agents and clients both time and effort.

“It’s an elegant, common-sense solution that avoids redundancy during that very important consumer-agent interaction, and so far it’s getting rave reviews in the field,” said Sam Halpern, Senior Market Sales’ director of Internet marketing. “Insurance agents appreciate that they don’t have to retype the same information from the quote onto the application, and the consumer appreciates that they don’t have to verbally repeat the information.”

Omaha, Neb.,-based Senior Market Sales was the first insurance marketing organization serving the senior market to introduce technology that integrates its insurance agent portal with insurance carriers’ portals so that agents can move seamlessly from a price quote to enrollment application without having to log in a second time.

Thousands of agents use Senior Market Sales’ proprietary Lead Advantage platform to quote Mutual of Omaha’s Medicare Supplement plans for their clients, but taking client applications used to require a separate log-in to Mutual of Omaha’s system and a re-entry of client information. Now with single-sign-on, agents can transition from a quote in Lead Advantage to applying on the carrier’s system without an additional log-in. The new single-sign-on system transfers the client’s and agent’s information from the quote to the application, populating the form so the agent doesn’t have to re-enter it. This can shave up to 10 minutes off the process — a time savings that frees up agents to produce more, and ultimately to make more money.
