New Pharmacy Saver Program From UnitedHealthcare

Starting January 1, 2011, UnitedHealthcare's new Pharmacy Saver program will be available to both their Prescription Drug plan members and their Medicare Advantage with Prescription Drug members. Pharmacy Saver member can access 30-day supplies of select prescription for only $2. Includes lower pricing on seven out of the top 10 generic drugs most commonly used by Medicare beneficiaries.

Other benefits of Pharmacy Saver include:

  • Lower prices for members on select drugs at select retailers, including Target, H-E-B, Hy-Vee, Food Lion, Kroger and affiliates, Safeway and Publix Super Markets
  • Available for all plans, all formularies (excludes Sierra plans)
  • Part D & Medicare Advantage Part D (MAPD) plans
  • Low prices are available even through the coverage gap
  • List of drugs, prices and effective dates varies by pharmacy/pharmacy chain.
  • Includes: Prescription Solutions, Safeway, Kroger and their affiliates. (See complete list below)
  • Agents should access for pharmacies and drugs
  • Members don't need to do anything to take advantage of this initiative — just show their card
  • Agents have access to a program flyer available on the Agent Toolkit (attached below).

With cooperation from pharmacy partners such as Safeway, Kroger and all of their affiliated brands, members will have access to lower pricing than their co-payment on a variety of drugs.
