After 20 years in teaching and sales and marketing for a leading educational publishing firm, Terry entered the insurance industry and became a licensed life and health agent, focused on education and customer service in the direct-to-consumer environment. Now at SMS he is able to use that experience to help agents build their business, focusing on Medicare Supplements from Mutual of Omaha. Terry is able to help agents develop marketing plans, identify lead sources and utilize electronic tools. He also provides orientation and education in the Medicare senior market.
Terry enjoys seeing an agent have success building a revenue stream for today and into the future. He believes that building relationships and understanding a client’s needs are the keys to a successful career and to putting the agent’s business in a position of distinction.
Terry grew up in Fremont, NE, and graduated from Midland Lutheran College with a bachelor’s degree in secondary math education. He is married, has three children and 11 grandchildren, and enjoys spending lots of time with them. Spring is his favorite season, since it represents new life, and he always looks forward to landscaping and gardening. Terry also enjoys watching University of Nebraska athletics, including football, basketball and baseball.
